Both this and the VF-124 Cat are at the same stage of construction. Being an older kit with less parts and detail, they are a quicker build than the other 3 "newer" kits I have on the go. The cockpit instrument panels are declas in this case.

Base of coat of Humbrol #129 (FS26440) sprayed. I still have to finish the cockpit consoles, attach the front windshield, then I can spray the Black on to the canopy and front fuselage as shown in the profile at the top of the page. Once thats done, I will spray the wheel wells white, paint the wing bladders, apply a Klear/Future coat ready for decalling.

Decalling finished finally. The old Microscale sheet I used for the markings although excellent in handling and application, left a lot to be desired in the register area. I had to find markings for the stencils from other sheets.

Next step is to clean all decal glue/residue and apply a further Kear/Future coating, ready for an enamel wash.

I removed all the masking tape from the kit, and applied an enamel wash of Humbrol #32 and thinners. I then proceeded to finish off by attaching the landing gear, doors, antennas, tail fins and weapons. Here are the final shots.
