Finally completed the inital cleanup of kit parts. Next stage will be the painting of the cockpit, intakes and bare metal areas. I am not showing any pictures yet as they would be similar to the VF-102 and VF-11. So I shall update them when I get to the main paint stage.

2 Feb 2006

Just a few pics to show I am making some progress. All fuselage masked up ready for a big paint session this weekend.

and the seats now have their base colours applied.

8 Feb 2006

Tried something different for these builds - spraying the wheel wells white after the main base coats. Very quick and easy, but uses a lot of masking. Next up for this cat is a Klear coat ready for decals.

10 Feb 2005

Decalling complete just need a Klear coat to seal them before applying an oil wash this weekend.

18 Feb 2006

Newton & Winsor oil wash (Raw Umber) was applied, followed by a Pollyscale flat coat. After all the assembly was completed, things like the ECM bumps, fuel dump exhaust and pitot/probes were hand painted. Last pieces attached were the kit supplied PE for the canopy frame.
