At the ScaleModelWorld 2005 show last year I happened upon this display on one of the vendor tables.

PG Models was the vendor and after browsing his catalogue I picked four vehicles which I had driven and maintained during my time in the REME.

These include from left to right:-

Bedford MK Workshop

CVR(T) Samson

Landrover 3/4 ton Hardtop

They are highly detailed pewter models with about 7 - 10 parts each.

After checking for flash (none), I sprayed them with Alclad Grey Primer, followed by Humbrol #86 (Olive Green).

I then brush painted Humbrol #11 (silver) to the tracks, applied a wash of Humbrol #113 (Rust) to the ousides and went over the track pads with Humbrol #32 (Dark Grey).

Next I painted the black Camo,the tyres and road wheels ,using Humbrol #33 (Matt Black).

I used Humbrol #85 to paint the windows, and Humbrol #26 on the hessian in the Samson top stowage cage.

Last step was to apply some pastels to weather them slighly, as though on the start of an exercise.
