Construction progressed quickly, using only a little amount of Tamiya Putty in the region of the nose and wing joins.

The weather and work then kept me away for progressing any further up until last weekend, when I completed the main paint scheme using Humbrol Acrylics Dark Sea Gray #164, and Dark Green #163. All other colours were also Humbrol Acrylics, and for the Metal areas I used Citadel Acrylics.

After sealing the paints with Klear, I then applied the kit decals for the No2 Squadron markings, cleaned and sealed, and finished with a ProModeller Dark Gray and Black wash.

Ater applying an Xtracrylix Flat Varnish, I attached the undercarriage, weapons and pitots.

Quite pleased that after 3 months, I have managed to keep the nose pitot intact, only bending it.

The results of the "new formula Klear" experiment were OK on the canopy. After being masked up for 3 months with Tamiya tape, it was removed without damage to the coating. However my initial dislike of this new formula Klear is still in place and I shall be using my remaining 4 bottles of Original Klear, with care in future.
